I first met Chambers & Co in 2003, when working freelance providing administrative and bookkeeping support for a Brighton start-up company; Peter’s advice then helped us put in place effective strategies for organising the international, and later, the online aspects of the company’s finances. Chambers & Co have gone on to provide a full range of accounting services and advice, (including payroll services) to the present day.
The timely and thorough response we received from the team at Chambers & Co led to them being recruited again in 2008, when setting up the accounts for a large multi-national publishing project, in this case Peter’s advice was instrumental both with regard to somewhat bemusing VAT situations we found ourselves in and to the foreign currency implications of the project.
As the company grew, and better systems were required I began to work with Sara. I quickly came to appreciate her unflappable style and calm efficiency; Sara provided invaluable support in the computerisation of the accounts (Sage 50 Accounts Professional [muti-currency]); helping with the customisation of the software, providing training and cheerfully answering about a million questions about the transfer of a huge amount of historical data. Now I get her to handle all my personal taxation matters too!
